18. The LORD is near to all
who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry
and saves them.
20. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will
destroy.
21. My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise
his holy name for ever and ever.
1. One day Jesus was praying
in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,
"Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."
2. He said to them, "When you pray, say: "`Father, hallowed
be your name, your kingdom come.
3. Give us each day our daily bread.
4. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against
us. And lead us not into temptation. '"
35. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
