1. Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
3. who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
4. who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
5. who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed
like the eagle's.
6. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
7. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
8. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in
love.
9. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10. he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to
our iniquities.
11. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love
for those who fear him;
12. as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions
from us.
11. Now on his way to Jerusalem,
Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
12. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They
stood at a distance
13. and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on
us!"
14. When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests."
And as they went, they were cleansed.
15. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in
a loud voice.
16. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan.
17. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other
nine?
18. Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"
19. Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
16. Be joyful always;
17. pray continually;
18. give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in
Christ Jesus.
